Job Overview

Member of the Grace Bay Resorts Room Service team. Responsibilities include answering telephone calls from guests seeking to make or cancel room service orders, taking guest orders and ensuring that they are being attended to and calculating guests’ final bill and post to their room payments. This position reports to the Assistant Restaurant Manager.

Your Responsibilities

Receive and accurately record food and beverage orders from guests via phone
Possess a vast knowledge of the menu offerings to provide informed recommendations to guests
Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any guest inquiries, concerns, or special requests promptly and professionally
Maintain accurate records of guests’ orders to facilitate final billing.
Resolving guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally

Salary: $8.00 per hour
Average Service Charge: $10,000 per annum

Skills & Competencies Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in hospitality preferred
Strong proficiency in English communication, encompassing both written and verbal abilities.
Strong focus on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction
Capacity to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to ensure timely delivery of orders
Friendly and accommodating demeanor
Aptitude for resolving guest
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth operation.
Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

All Grace Bay Resorts operates 7 days a week, the needs for coverage will vary greatly depending upon occupancy, available resources and expected demands. As such business work schedules will be tailored to insure the best possible coverage to meet the most crucial business needs and insure high service levels while maintaining fairness. We will endeavor to grant special requests for specific shifts and or days off, however these cannot be guaranteed.
