Job Overview

Ensure high quality service of Anani Spa to the standard set by the hotel, ensuring highest levels of guest, company and colleague satisfaction. Strives to continually improve guest, owner and colleague satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department.

Essential Responsibilities

Ensure the Spa is kept clean and tidy at all times in accordance with the standards of Grace Bay Club. Ensure adherence to company health and safety standards. To ensure that the Anani Spa services meet and exceed customer expectations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Keep Reception area of Anani Spa tidy and well stocked with Grace Bay Club approved products, literature and stationary

  • Be the first point of contact for all guests coming to the Spa, ensure greeting is professional and polite and follows all Grace Bay Club standards

  • Be responsible for the daily administration of the Spa to include taking bookings, changes to bookings and cancellations and ensure a good diary system is in place that is accessible to all Spa colleagues

  • Sell Spa items to guests and ensure that the correct prices are charged to the guest account

  • Attend Spa meetings, assist with record minutes, and discuss any problems.

  • Produce required document when needed including letters, computer printouts, etc.

  • Conduct Spa tour and introductions.

  • Be responsible for phone, reception desk, and appointment desk procedures.

  • Responsible for assigned petty cash/float from Finance Department.

  • Have full knowledge of all treatments and facilities in the Spa in order to aid any guests

  • Assist guests with any queries or questions they may have.

  • Maintain a professional attitude when dealing with guests and offering the first-class service expected from Grace Bay Club.

  • Strive for guest satisfaction and desired financial results.

  • Ensures the Spa service occurs according to operating and quality standards.

  • Ensure compliance with all Spa policies, standards and procedures.

  • Ensures compliance of company sanitation standards.

  • Understand the goals and objectives of Anani Spa as communicated from the Director of Spa and Supervisor.

  • Strive for continuous improvement and excellence in all areas of responsibility.

  • Ensure compliance of Health and Safety procedures.

  • Understands the operating and maintenance procedures of all departmental equipment.

  • Understands the job functions of the other areas of the resort and maintains an effective relationship between departments.

  • Follow energy conservation programs where applicable.

  • Comply with loss prevention policies to prevent accidents and control costs.

  • Provide excellent customer service.

  • Each colleague is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management which the colleague is capable of performing.

  • Attend on-going training to understand guest expectations and how to achieve and exceed them.

  • Follow departmental orientation program for colleagues to receive appropriate job skills training to successfully perform their jobs.

  • Attend appropriate training classes.

  • Understands the impact of Anani Spa on the overall hotel financial goals and educates colleagues on details as appropriate.

  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of Spa operational procedures.

  • Knowledge of Spa service standards.

  • Knowledge of overall hotel operations as they affect department.

  • Ability to use standard software applications and hotel systems (e.g. Micros etc.).

  • Knowledge of safety standards.

Requirements & Skills

  • Must be well groomed, clean and polite. 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum of 1 year in similar position at a five-star resort is preferred

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Good time management and organizational skills.

  • Patience and good listening skills.

  • Ability to read and write English

  • Ability to do basic arithmetic

  • Ability to prioritize and organize work

  • Offer a warm friendly and efficient service to guest and staff

  • Responsible, punctual and neat in appearance.

  • Have self-control in difficult situations

  • Able to work in a culturally diverse environment

  • Able to work under stress and multi task.

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs. and push/pull in excess of 50 lbs.

  • Other duties that may be assigned by the Kids Town Manager and Supervisor.

Average Service Charge

$10,000 per annum

Compensation

$8.00 per hour

Note

All Grace Bay Resorts operates 7 days a week, the needs for coverage will vary greatly depending upon occupancy, available resources and expected demands. As such business work schedules will be tailored to insure the best possible coverage to meet the most crucial business needs and insure high service levels while maintaining fairness. We will endeavor to grant special requests for specific shifts and or days off, however these cannot be guaranteed.
