Job Overview
The Director of Human Resources is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function. This position manages all employees of the HR department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department and oversight and management of the hiring process for all employees of South Bank.
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
Manage the recruitment and selection process
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
Nurture a positive working environment
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
Maintain pay plan and benefits program
Assess training needs and collaborate with Director of Training to address training needs
Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance.
Facilitates the Coaching and Counseling or Disciplinary Hearing processes as well as employee relations issues.
Writing, editing and issuing discipline communications.
Conducting investigations and documenting findings.
Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with employment services, work permit board and labour tribunal pertaining to all personnel matters.
Communicates changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.
Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary program.
Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the Managing Director, on personnel matters.
Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.

These duties are not all inclusive and maybe subject to change and include any other duties that may be assigned to you by your direct manager.
B.A. or B.S. Degree in Hospitality, Human Resources Management or Business preferred
Professional Human Resources Certification or Designation from an accredited institution
Minimum 5 years’ experience as an HRM or HRD preferably in a luxury hotel environment
Preopening HRM experience is preferred however experience assisting with preopening and or change management of a luxury hotel will be considered
Extensive knowledge of the Labour and Immigration laws of the Turks and Caicos Islands
Highly adaptable and flexible
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and deliver results in a fast paced environment
All Grace Bay Resorts operates 7 days a week, the needs for coverage will vary greatly depending upon occupancy, available resources and expected demands. As such business work schedules will be tailored to insure the best possible coverage to meet the most crucial business needs and insure high service levels while maintaining fairness. We will endeavor to grant special requests for specific shifts and or days off, however these cannot be guaranteed.
