Assisting with managing the Accounts office
Supporting all members of Accounting office in daily operations (AP, AR, Cashiering, Income Audit, Payroll)
Develop and implement training programs for both current team members and new employees to enhance their skills and knowledge in their respective roles.
Assisting with performing monthly reconciliations
Assisting in overseeing the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks
Assisting with performing regular financial analysis
Assisting in developing budgets that meet the requirements of company departments
Assisting with establishing targets and managing all financing and accounting employees
Assisting in supervising all audit and internal control processes
Assisting with preparing detailed reports on the hotel’s financial performance
Assisting in guaranteeing compliance with financial laws and guidelines
Assisting in recognizing patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas.
Assisting with coordinating with external financial entities on behalf of the company
Compensation: $78,000 per annum
Average Service Charge: $10,000 per annum
10% at the discretion of the Board of Directors, a maximum Bonus of Net Base Salary will be paid at year-end
Detailed knowledge of each area of Accounting (AP, AR, Cashiering, Income Audit, Payroll)
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g. MBA, Master’s in Finance) preferred
Minimum 5 years’ experience as Assistant Director of Finance or similar role in a luxury hotel/resort/club of similar size or larger
Experience in strategic financial planning, including evaluating performance identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions
Excellent knowledge of various hotel software to include property management software, POS, and accounting software specifically, Opera, Micros, ACCPAC, SAP.
Strong understanding of financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a team of finance professionals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a high-level accuracy in financial reporting analysis
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
All Grace Bay Resorts operates 7 days a week, the needs for coverage will vary greatly depending upon occupancy, available resources and expected demands. As such business work schedules will be tailored to insure the best possible coverage to meet the most crucial business needs and insure high service levels while maintaining fairness. We will endeavor to grant special requests for specific shifts and or days off, however these cannot be guaranteed.
