Provides supporting leadership to their individual Food & Beverage teams while ensuring that quality and consistent products and service are provided to the guests.
Consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service.
Maintains a professional yet engaging interaction with the resort's guests and colleagues.
Assists guests regarding all beverage menu items in an informative and helpful manner.
Mixes drinks and controls beverage stock as per guidelines.
Possesses extensive knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits.
Has full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions.
Has full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods.
Follows outlet policies, procedures, and service standards.
Follows all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
Maintains a well-stocked bar, including all ingredients needed to prepare signature drinks and standard drink orders.
Prepares non-alcoholic beverages such as smoothies, coffee, tea, juice, etc., for patrons.
Prepares specialty drinks according to recipes provided by management.
Sets up bar stations with supplies such as glasses, mixers, bottles of liquor, etc.
Maintains a clean and organized bar area to ensure a safe environment for customers.
Consults with customers on their drink orders to ensure they are served correctly and efficiently.
Conducts regular inventory to ensure stock levels can adequately support the resort’s requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Compensation: $54,000 per annum
Average Service Charge: $10,000 per annum
BSc in Hospitality, Tourism, Food and Beverage, or a relevant field is preferred.
Work experience as a Bartender or in a similar senior-level position in the Food & Beverage department is required; experience as a Mixologist is preferred.
Proven experience in a similar medium to large restaurant environment.▪
Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
Leadership abilities with a strategic mindset.
Certified in Flair Bartending from a reputable institution.
Excellent knowledge of all beverage products, beer, wine, and spirits.
Previous experience with point of sale systems is an asset.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
Highly responsible and reliable.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
All Grace Bay Resorts operates 7 days a week, the needs for coverage will vary greatly depending upon occupancy, available resources and expected demands. As such business work schedules will be tailored to insure the best possible coverage to meet the most crucial business needs and insure high service levels while maintaining fairness. We will endeavor to grant special requests for specific shifts and or days off, however these cannot be guaranteed.
