Job Overview

Member of the Grace Bay Resorts Security team. Responsibilities include ensuring a safe environment for the resorts’ staff and guests, protecting the assets of the resort, responding quickly to guests’ and staffs’ requests and providing caring interactions with all guests and staff. This position reports to the Director of Security and Loss Prevention.

Your Responsibilities

  • Patrolling the hotel property ensuring that all appropriate areas and hotel assets are secure and free of any potential safety hazards.

  • Assist with internal/external guests as well as hotel employees with security, safety and loss prevention matters.

  • Cover the Security Base, where you are expected to maintain the security activity log, monitor resort cameras, alarm systems, emergency phone calls and control associate keys.

  • Collecting, logging, securing, and issuing & shipping out of lost and found items.

  • Identifying and organizing needed training from the department/Resort

  • Monitoring and assessing all security personnel under 3-month probation, under disciplinary action plans and annual evaluation.

  • Logging and retaining all hotel incidents and employee accident reports.

  • Managing any claims involving hotel property, hotel guests or hotel associates.

  • Responsible for the coordination of any Emergency Evacuation drills and plans for the resort.

  • Ensuring all necessary documents are printed and laid out for the day-to-day operations

  • Organizing a shift set posting, and organize the lunch relief

  • Compensation: $3,000 – 3,500 per annum

  • Average Service Charge: $10,000 per annum

Skills & Competencies Required

  • High school diploma or 2-year degree from an accredited university-related major.

  • Proficiency in Computers, CCTV, Fire and Safety systems.

  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

  • Thorough knowledge of hotel services and facilities.

  • Ability to pleasantly communicate with proper grammar in English with guests and visitors, management, and co-workers to their understanding.

  • Excellent guest service skills and passion for hospitality.

  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.

  • Ability to provide legible communication and directions.

  • Ability to program, open, and fix electronic safe

  • First aid, CPR, ADD Certification

  • Have basic fire safety training

  • Having basic to advanced knowledge in Word and Excel

  • Ability to make a working schedule

All Grace Bay Resorts operates 7 days a week, the needs for coverage will vary greatly depending upon occupancy, available resources and expected demands. As such business work schedules will be tailored to insure the best possible coverage to meet the most crucial business needs and insure high service levels while maintaining fairness. We will endeavor to grant special requests for specific shifts and or days off, however these cannot be guaranteed.
